is there much difference between z9/z1000 and a z1000 shaft frame? i would imagine pretty much the same at the front of the loop its the rear section i was wondering about?
are they wider at all at the swinging arm pivot point

I measured it approximately (with everything in place), it is about 280mm wide. The geometry also differs slightly from a mk2 frame, basically sod all fits without work but I hear a z900 a4 tank will fit
. It's an ideal frame for fitting a modern rear end, I had a zzr1400 swinger knocking about and even that would have fitted with room to spare. I have seen a couple with round zed tanks fitted but as to how easy that was I don't know.
