Hi, Is there anyone who refurbishes rear shocks, mine are a little rusty & need dismantling & rechromimg. No oil leaks. I prefer these to the pattern ones. Many thanks Gerald Knight

I am sure someone on here fabricated a spring compressor using plates and long bolts? Once dismantled you just need a good plater.

Main has made a tool for it but yes it's re chrome Spring spray the top. There's a locating pin in the top. If you search on projects sure it's on his z1 build. I have a set of z1b shocks to do as well.

				geraldknight,
I have a home made spring compressor and pin punch that you will require to strip and rebuild the rear shox.
Be selective on who you get to rechrome the damper etc as it needs to be a thin coating.
Unless you are looking for a total original rebuild you can buy a pattern pair, strip the damper off then rebuild with original parts.

Steve
