Z1000R vs Z1000J wiring loom?

#1 PostAuthor: LeeJackson » Wed Aug 10, 2016 7:20 pm

Gents

I'm looking to get one of these PMC replica looms. They do one for a Z1000R but not a J.. Does anyone know off the top of their heads if there is much difference? Or I could use the R loom with some minor mods?

Cheers
Lee

Lee.
There should be no difference apart from the clocks.
The R uses the same type as the J3 but I assume you are changing your clocks anyway?

When I built mine I used a unitrak loom on basically a J frame but with ZR7 clocks

Helpfully Kawasaki still use the same colours for their wiring they always have. This was one of the easier jobs of the build.

All the connectors except for the indicators (tiny bullets-unless someone knows differently) are available. Tackled methodically anything is possible.

Chris

Perfect, just what I was hoping to hear. Yes I am changing the clocks so no stress there. Ok will get them ordered up. Cheers for that!
