Hi guys
I have just realized that the vin/data plate on my frame got the during the powder coating process.

I have found remanufactured plate on eBay item number:

182124866159
(Sorry cant figure out how to post link)
Is this plate of the correct style.

But what do I put in type box would it be KZ1100R? and what format is used for the date and how do I find the date of manufacture for my bike No:196?

I contacted Kawasaki UK and they/he could not help.

Got what?

Is it a U.S. import as mine has just got the number stamped into the headstock?

Cheers

If the Chassis number has been covered by powder coat then some people have sanded back or masked off the area and media blasted the number so it can be read and then lacquered over the exposed number to protect it.

i think a UK bike would only have the number stamped on the headstock (as per my 1000R). US bikes have a VIN plate. Even if covered with powder coat a reasonable MOT tester will still pass you if you take the V5 with you (at least mine did).

My general European model J has a metal plate on the left hand downtube riveted on.
