Hi all.
Can someone help with a measure of the rear wheel off-set for a z1, doesn't matter which side it's from, just need to know with either the sprocket carrier or brake drum out and a strait edge across the hub what the measure is to the rim (standard steel rim)
Thank you.
Cheers Neil

Neil, standard rim on my Z1b measures 80mm across and the widest vertical part on the outside of the spoke ring on the hub (before the hub flares out horizontally)on both sides for the sprocket carrier and brake drum) measures 70 - 71 mm across the centre of the wheel. So you could say that the offset from this point is 4.5 - 5mm both sides?
I thought it best to measure the hub at this point because after that the sides are very different. I don't know if this makes any sense but I hope it helps

if you're talking about the offset for a new rim (or a respoke) - there isn't any - its central.

Hi Zedhead, Chrisu.
Thanks for the replies. The nub of the enquiry is that I've picked up an early rear wheel which has a rim stamped up with 2F (so June 1972 dated ?) and 303
which is the designation code I believe for a Z1. Question is did the H2 have a similar or same wheel (hub/brake plate/sprocket carrier/rim) set up (is the rim off-set the same if this is the case ?) or was the '72 H2 wheel different from a same year Z1, if so how ?
No doubt an expert somewhere will have some answers - at least I hope so.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers
Neil
