Clutch release gubbins in chain casing - can this be fixed?

Been having bit bit of a mare trying to get the clutch cable to adjust up correctly and then stay put. It just sort of clicks and then goes all loose..... oooh err missus!

Anyway had a good look today and there appears to be damage to the lug that keeps the cam / ball bearing thingy in place, that the clutch release arm is situated, see photo.

My question is can this just be built up with a bit of ally welding and then re-profiled with dremel? Or will I need a replacement chain casing?

If it can be fixed, does anyone know a good ally welder in the YORK area?

Am so close to getting this right for the Yorkshire Rally in a few weeks.

If its laid out the same as the J; that case on ebay has the forward pivot hole for the gear linkage broken / snapped off/ blocked off. Might be the same situation as you have with the broken stop in youre casing!!
