I've not brought any for year's, so which are the best ones available these days, I've got standard calipers and discs.

EBC's seem to be the most common ones available for these bikes. Copper sintered pads work well but can wear the disks fairly badly on more modern bikes. They can help smooth down a scored disk though.
Back in the day I used to prefer ferodos as they seemed to perform best, even though they didn't last long. I've fitted ferodos to the z1000 I'm building, partly cos I always used to and mainly cos they are fairly cheap at m and p.
Any new modern pad will be way better than worn out 20 year old ones.
