GPZ cam in a kz1000j - benefits?

Hi,
I'm currently doing a kz1000R1 clone project with gpz1100B2 and a kz1000j donor bike.
Almost everything is from the GPZ except the front end (top fork, triple tree and gauges) and motor.
Hoping to have a near perfect copy......
Question is that I have the choice using the kz1000j cams or the gpz?
Would it be an upgrade using the gpz cams and how?
If so, will it need special timing after?
Many thanks for your help!
