Hi there, I'd noticed a small oil leak on my gpz1100 b2 so decided to investigate. I removed the sprocket cover, wiped every thing down and waited for a while. Went back and it looks like its leaking from the gear shift shaft, is this common and is there an easy fix, or is it a complete dismantle job?
any advice appreciated.
cheers carl

cheers z1bman, any tips on how to get the old seal out? I've been trying for a couple of hours to no avail. I seem to have pushed it in more than getting out. I'm not the best with the spanners but I don't mind trying.

Its worth checking that the hole in the sprocket cover isn't too badly worn...

after spending 2 hours trying with the wrong tools to extract the oil seal, I went today to buy a hooked type tool {screw driver with a hook on} it took about 3 minutes to get it out. Put it all back together and it all seams ok. Amazing what you can do with the right gear.
