I need some help please guys...

I'm thinking of fitting an oil cooler to my Shed1R.

Option 1. Buy an Earls kit from Wemoto.
+ Its a complete kit so I know it'll fit and it'll have all the right bits.
- Its £330 plus postage.

Option 2. Make up my own kit, sourcing bits from different places.
+ It'll be about 50% cheaper.
- I'm no expert on fluid dynamics.

Coolers are available for different applications or universal fits eg

And I could get the hoses made up by Torques (as recommended by GB)..

Question is 'It appears that the fitting are drilled and tapped for 1/4" fittings but the cooler has a 22mm outlet. Are these compatible or will the cooler be starved of oil and not do its job? (or am I over thinking it?).

I'd appreciate your advice

Torques won't make the lines for you, they just supply the parts.

I have posted a youtube vid on one of these oil cooler related threads that shows how to 'fit' the fittings. It really is a piece of piss when you know how, anyone can do it.

I've had a couple of coolers from this lot, they are a generic size & will fit the brackets I've just posted. 10 row will be more than enough. Either buy the cooler on it's own & add all the hoses and fittings from torques, or if you want to save a couple of quid, buy a kit with the longer hoses & chop the fittings from the take off end & use a barb fitting with hose finishers, as I did on my 1170R project. (You'll need to dig to around 2011 to find that)
