Has anyone in the club invested in a soda blaster? Looks like a useful bit of kit. Any recommendations or advice appreciated.
thanks.........

yeah I have. I can run my compressor at 120psi all day long but found that soda alone wasn't abrasive enough to get stuff that had been hot (ie barrels/heads etc) nice and clean. Best solution I've found is to first use kiln dried sand through the gun. The stuff you get for £5 a big bag from wickes etc for filling the gaps in patio bricks. After you've got it mostly clean then give it another good going over with soda crystals.
Then give it a damn good wash, then another wash and after you've done that wash it again (and again). You DO NOT want to be leaving any sand anywhere!
