Whats this for an what should it be bolted too?

It's the brake outage switch and is bolted under the coils using the coil mount

That looks like the outage relay,bolts on to one of the coil mounting bolts,its function is to flash the brake idiot lamp if the brake lamp fails..

Its a very early flux capacitor, try and get someone who know electrics to test it, don't mess with it yourself
