I have used the POR15 kits from Frosts twice with good results. Lot's of prep involved but the finish has been solid and I haven't seen evidence of peeling. I also used it to seal a pinhole in the tank. My ST tank has had either kreem or petseal in the past and it is all over the place but thankfully hasn't got through the Pingel filter at all. If your tank just needs a good clean there are a few tried and tested methods that people on here have used as well.

Whatever you use do not use petseal the ethers in modern fuel melt it turn it into gunge and then into your carbs before gluing up the rings.
