Problems at home have gone terminal and I'm now having to entertain something I vowed to myself I'd never do - put my Z1000A2 up for sale.
Problem is that it's not standard so have lost track of what is a reasonable figure to ask.
Could anyone give me a steer please?

Some details:

5.5"/3.5" alloy wheels with stainless spokes on Z1000 hubs
JMC swing arm
Brembo front calipers with billet adaptor plates
Brembo front f/floating discs
Brembo rear caliper
Brembo rear disc

Z1 tail light
Giugliari 2/4 seat
Tarozzi rearsets
ZZR1100 polished 42mm forks.
ZZR1100 top/bottom yoke with Z1000 stem
ZXR1100 front brake perch

ZXR1100 clutch perch/mastercylinder
Harris 1" rise clipons

Mikuni VM29mm smoothbores thru adapted std airbox with modified K&N filter
1045cc with wiseco pistons
Bob Farnham gasflowed head
Stainless valves
Z650 valve shims over cups
Cam Motion cam

Engine dyno'd at 105bhp at back wheel
Pingel free-flow fuel tap
Talon rear sprocket

Ohlins piggyback shocks.

Sorry, that's most of what I can remember but just ask for any details that may help.

Here are some shots taken upon completion in the 'Z1000A2 facelift' thread in projects - it's only done 10/15miles since then. Sorry they're a bit small:

I for one, know only too well that you never get back what you put into 'em. :fou

A good modded Zed would hopefully get you at least £5k & with any luck even more.

Sorry to hear it has to go, not the best time of year though with Chrimbo & tax bills to pay. :lar

Thanks GB....

You're so right - I'm under no illusions about getting money back. Just want an idea of a reasonable price, so thanks for the ball-park figure. Much appreciated mate :)

that really is a very very nicely put together zed, personally, because its so well put together and looks as it does then i would say the first thing to try is ebay with a reserve because when a bike looks right it can get good money on ebay.

That looks like a really well modified Zed. Personally I couldn't deal with the exceptionally long exhaust but that is a matter of taste and easily rectified by the new owner. Done a really nice job there

That is a real shame mate,

Love this bike, really excellent job.

If I had any room and any money , I would not hesitate to buy that from you.

Can't you just hide it away till the problems get resolved.

Lovely bike and just the sort of style that I love.

As already recommended I would have thought circa £5k.

Good luck with the sale.

That's come up a year early for me, otherwise it would be in my garage now, I would pay 5k for that without even thinking about it, but would have to change the bars as this old fella would suffer.
