Having just got my Z1B started after about 6 years sitting around and having gien it a bit of a top end overhaul - the clutch doesn't seem to work. The cable is new and the pushrod operates okay but it seems like the clutch is stuck - does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be and how to sort it out.
Thanks.

Sounds like the clutch plates are sticking together.
Always a good idea to cable tie the clutch lever back to the handlebars when the bike is stored un-used for any length of time.

Sounds like the clutch is stuck to me too! As it's been stood for such a long time you would probably be best to take the cover off and take out the plates and wipe some oil over them. Sometimes smacking them into gear doesn't free them up when they have stood for a long time.

Thanks for all the the really quick replies. I'll see if I can get it up the road - if not it looks like the plates will have to come out.

Stuck clutch huh
Ok. strip and prize the plates apart, degrease, any rust deposits? OK,sand the muck off with some fine wet/dry on a flat surface, clean, then lubricate with engine oil rebuild, lube othe associated clutch parts, adjust and ride away
My Z1-R clutch was seized,i followed the above process and its still working fine
The new plates are sat in the Achives of the Hangar
