Jets Recommendation?

#1 PostAuthor: Swiss Gaz » Wed Dec 02, 2015 3:11 pm

Got my 1980 B4 LTD running with some Pods as it came with no air boxes. It coughs back through the #1 carb on idle so I took them off to clean them out. Whilst they are off I thought I may as well change the jets as I wanted to also remove the emission control stuff as well.

Current jet needles are 5CN29 and the main jets are A102.5

Any suggestions as what would work well? I am not interested in shredding the back tyre just releasing some of the power that been stifled.

Thanks.

PS I have done the Wiredgeorge mod.

I'd look at around #120 mains to start.... also go up a size on pilots (from std), then its some messing about with air screw & maybe needle, etc :?:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Thanks Pigford. I will have a look about for some #120's. The Pilot Jet seems to be a #A15 standard so I will take it from there and find the next size up.
