Piston Ring end gap size, 810 kit.

#1 PostAuthor: GPRD » Fri Oct 02, 2015 1:13 pm

I bought some of those pistons from cruzin image in Japan a while ago and I've had barrels rebored by SEP to their size.
The help I need is, I want to make sure the end gap size is within tolerance, but I can't find what the minimum should be, the workshop manual says the max is 0.7mm, but there's no minimum, can anyone advise how I work it out?
Cheers

Also, how do I know which is the top ring and the second ring?
They're usually marked, but these don't seem to be.
cheers

the book says, ring gap.

1000cc
0.016in to 0.032
0.4mm to 0.8mm

900
0.012in to 0.028
0.3mm to 0.7mm

The standard 2nd ring has a notch on the end.
