Z1 Throtttle Cables

#1 PostAuthor: wheelysteve » Sun Sep 27, 2015 1:06 pm

Another daft question….

What's the difference between the open and close throttle cables on a Z1?

Without taking them out, they look the same the same to me but have different part no.s. Can the close cable be used on the open side if the cable snaps?

Cheers, Steve

The main difference is the angle of the curve on the chrome adjuster at top of cable which screws in to the switch section because if both were the same one would foul the other when fitting or removing :!:

Hope that makes sense :)

Steve,
Another difference is that 54021-087 is a lot rarer than 54021-081 in genuine parts :D.
Regards
Steve

Thanks chaps. One of the reasons I ask is because the genuine 54021-087 is so rare !
