Z1B Clutch cover sight glass

#1 PostAuthor: BykerBoy » Sat Sep 12, 2015 1:41 pm

I've got a new repro clutch cover for my Z1B and the sight glass has to be installed. I bought a new sight glass and on the face of it it looks to be simply an oil seal and should be drifted into position .
However when I took the old cover off and looked at it, it has some form of sealant applied to the inside, presumably at the factory.
Has anyone here done one of these seals and do I need to use a sealant and if so what type?

Any help greatly appreciated

Malcolm

I used a smear of silicon sealant when I did mine - that was a couple of years ago.
