#1 PostAuthor: Mark O'Shea » Thu Sep 10, 2015 11:36 pm

Hi all,
Anybody able to tell me the best aerosol paint match for a '75 Z900 frame, have a few chips in need of touching up.

Many thanks,
Mark.

Hi Mark I am just refurbishing my z900 a4 after being off road for 7 years. I have found Hammerite satin black matches my paint best. The gloss is to shinny.

Not aware of a 'specific' colour match for the frame other than a standard type gloss black.

Worth noting though that if the rest of the frame is original, it will doubtless have faded, so if you use a gloss to touch up you may need to spend a bit of time on the rest of the frame to get it to shine as well.

This was the frame on my unrestored and very original A4 when I got it....

But, with nothing more than a tin of black touch up paint, a decent cutting compound and a bit of elbow grease, it turned out like this,,,
