Thanks for the replies.

As Z-Power advise they are made in the Far East and so could be from the same source as the cheaper ones? The same cheaper ones are also advertised from other sources @ £30 each?

It is always a balance but paying more does not always ensure you are getting a better product.

I have a cheap aftermarket set to try. But can anyone tell me about the wires and where to put them :!: The colour codes are different, on the aftermarket set I just have solid black and the other is black with white line.
obviously don't want to mix them up

But it does ensure you get the right colour wires and any problems Z Power will reimburse, you no questions

I bought coils from the same supplier for my z250, total rubbish sparked all over the show. :(

Whats the resistance readings from your old coils? My old 650 coils read 4 and 15. Manual says they should read 5 and 23 and to replace them if they dont. I bought a new pair from z power and they read exactly the same as my old ones.
what makes you think your coils are the problem?

It never ceases to amaze me that folk buy the finest engineered Japanese motorcycles and then bolt on bottom of the pile far east crap. Not everything made in the far east is crap, but when things are thrupence h'penny a box full you should get a clue.

But who's making and supplying parts for the finest engineered motorcycles, they are all made to a price and that's the cheapest possible price for maximum profit, chances are it's only the colour of the wires that are differernt and made in the same factories

Replaced coil Today for number 2-3 . Now my bike is rideable again :D Wrong mounting bolts distance :!: But for £20 solved my problem and made the bike run as it should, for now. I feel that I can now fit my Dyna S, then I will probably go for the dyna coils as well. So for 20 Quid these things do have their uses.
