I have a Cibe halogen H4 55/60W bulb fitted to my A4, in-line resistor removed, but still find it weak for night use.

What is the best replacement bulb/reflector assy, with pilot bulb, to use that does not require any sort of relay and which the existing wiring and switches can handle, or is the Cibe the best that you can expect?

You could try a Osram halogen H4 Nightbreaker Unlimited bulb

Anybody here used one and found that it made a difference?

I converted my GPz b1 to HID, less power used and much brighter cost about £40
