Perhaps try an impact driver and big fk off hammer. Be confident and have a steady aim. If you wimp out of the strike you b*gger it up.
also try to heat the wee beggar with welding torch or butane gaz torch

Use a good quality impact driver and make sure you've got the correct size and type of screw-driver bits.
6 point sockets on the bolt heads.
Duck oil usually works better than wd40.

BunnysZ, a deft touch with a small chisel & a hammer works. If heads knackered, place chisel carefully on side edge of screw & tap the b*gg*r firmly anti-clockwise!!!! If its a cross head and you can get to the head with a hacksaw, you can cut down thru the head to make it a slot to take a flat screwdriver!
PS:- Got the cheque ta, post stuff tomorrow (Friday)

Last resort drill them small hole then bigger until head comes off then you can usually remove whats left once its apart with mole grips cos the pressure is off and you can get some wd right down the thread, or at the last resort spark erosion.
What I would not be tempted to do is to use those easy out things cos if /when they snap off you are left with a bit of carbon steel thats impossible to drill out jammed in.
Oh yes if its rounded off it some times helps to try and tighten it, sounds stupid but your screw driver probably still has something to grip going that way and it can break the corrosion thats hoilding it all together.
As phil says a good swear definatly helps!

keeping a spouse close at hand to fire a torrent of expletives at is a big bonus, and make sure you have a choice of at least 3 swear words per screw.
Steve R's drill and mole grips approach is about the best for really stubborn ones, after all mole grips are the universal tool, also the drill and grips method works on spouses that don't supply tea at regular intervals
