Frame and Engine Numbers

Is anyone able to identify what these frame and engine numbers relate to please?
Frame number is z1f26501 engine number is z1e050072

None matching numbers no good, if you are doing a full resto.

How can you tell on a Kawasaki if the Engine an Frame match
The only Bike company that makes it obvious is Yamaha If the frame number is XS1 0006547 the Engine number is XS1 0006547. Bleeding Simple. If they can do it why have the other Big Jap company's not done it

Contact KMUK,pay them £57.00 and they will verify from their records in Japan if the frame and engine numbers match.

many factors to consider. if you are ding a full resto its a shame to go that far on a mismatched eng/frame set up, unless you are certain that you are rebuilding it for your own use/fun. if its for an investment resto then numbers matter at point of sale for big money. if you are just wanting a bike to clean up and ride then miss match numbers, odd parts etc will put some bikes in a more affordable price bracket, great unless it would bug you. I did find it very difficult not to keep searching for original parts for my zed, to the point of obsession, as i gather is the case with a good few on here
if you have megga bucks you can buy the earliest, prettiest, all original zed available, if you are a bit skint then it will be a converted z1000ltd with pattern parts and odd numbers, personally i cant even afford that

Mick, me and you both Lad. I can't afford to go out and spend a few thousand quid either, but currently I have the H1, the Z1000 project and a speed triple which I would gladly give up all three to one another Z1
