Does anyone know a source for chrome plated copper crush washers, brake banjo sealing for the use of? I've Googled but not found owt - maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing.
The standard Kawasaki part (43067-001) is somewhat pricey (£1.60 each from Z-Power but with handling etc I understand their price) whereas 'normal' copper crush washers are a few pence.
I'd prefer, to buy a pack of 50 or 100 so I've got some on the shelf.
FWIW, the standard part is M10, 15mm O/D, 1.5mm thick whereas a normal one is 14mm O/D and ~1mm thick.

Chrome crush washers

Your title for this thread is wrong I am afraid.
They are bright zinc plated - not chromed.
You cannot crush chrome plate as it is brittle.
As you say most of the aftermarket ones are solid copper.
No reason why you couldn't get some of those plated bzp (bright zinc plate) if you know someone who is having a batch done.

I thought some people used the aluminuim ones, like these

which may be the silver look you want.

Ah... yes... you're right... they're probably not chrome.
However maybe not that right
The standard ones are slightly magnetic in that they can be picked up with a molybdenum magnet.... and zinc isn't magnetic AFAIK and copper most certainly isn't (they are copper I've just cut one in half).
However nickel is magnetic so I guess that's what they're plated with.
Still can't find any though

The original Kawasaki part was, and still is, a bright silver finish.
Copper ones look quite different when the union is assembled.
Perhaps he is trying to restore the factory finish
Can't see why else the colour would matter - solid copper functions just as well + cheaper cost.
