Mounting rectifier a4

#1 PostAuthor: G » Sun May 17, 2015 2:19 pm

Hi, can anyone tell me if the rectifier on a4 was rubber mounted at all please ?
Bolting it on underneath battery box but schematic drawing shows only a metal washer. The bolt is protruding well into the battery box to the point it's almost flush with rubber dampers that battery sits upon.Just thought it would be rubber mounted in some way ? Cheers g

Have you got the moulded plastic case the battery sits in?

I believe that the A4's were not fitted with the plastic moulded battery case used on the Z1's but sits directly onto the rubbers in the carrier.

Z Power parts book refers to a Rubber Band, battery part No 32099-015 but when I spoke to them they said the A4 did not have a case but just fitted directly on to the carrier rubbers?

Mine doesn't have a battery case, but then my rectifier doesn't bolt into the battery frame anyway

Just re-read G's first question, think he means regulator.

All the Zeds use a battery case including tha Z/KZ900A4 A5 and LTD's.

Part number 32099-015 BOX battery.

Why would the A4's not use a spill tray when other models before and after do?

The ZPower parts book was compiled by ZPower, has faults (remember his faulty book, has faults)

Bugga me can see why ZPower got it wrong, below is from genuine Z1R D3 parts book - 21 RUBBER BAND, battery. WTF
