Strange

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Wed Apr 08, 2015 11:15 pm

So I've been playing today and noticed something that I hadn't seen before.
Turn power on, pull front or push back brake pedal and back light comes on along with red light on centres idiot panel.
Good
Slide light switch on centre and left and red brake light come on on idiot panel but not the light itself.
That's surely not right?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.
Bike now finished what a joy!

Idiot light should only come "ON" when either front or rear brake is operated. Idiot light flashes if the brake light filament blows.
Operating the light switch should have no affect on the operation of the Brake Fail circuit.

Back light comes on - as in side light? or brake light?

Slide light switch on centre and left and red brake light come on on idiot panel but not the light itself.
That's surely not right?

When applying either brake? or just when you turn the lights on?
