Long Cables

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has fitted renthal bars to their bike and if so what throttle cable (and probably clutch cable-haven't fitted that yet) did you use. The standard one for the lower type bars is still way too long.

I'm sorry, just realised I never mentioned what bike it is D'oh. It's a KZ1000A-2.

Welcome to the board Carpy. i would agree with Rickman CRR as Z1r had low bars.Heres a thought,should you swap the bars you may find also the upper brake hose from the front break master cylinder/line splitter too long also

Thanks for that. The top brake line is too long as well. I had to fit a master cylinder with a remote reservoir (gixer 750) as the standard one was forcing the throttle tube off the end of the bars.

Carpy,if you have to make up your own top brakeline it is possible to make it up yourself. if you go to Staffs "AUTOHOSE" is the stand to go to (inside) you should get the bits cheaper and ofcourse stainless banjos is the way to go. if the current banjos are the ones to successfully do the job,then take them so yer man can match them.

got mine from Zpower but you can have my old set if you're not fussy.
