Z1-R rear brake hose length & fitting - HELP

My Z1-R came with modern brake lines and I want the standard look -
I have just done a test fit on my new rear brake hose.
I have checked which way the unions go against the Z1-R sales brochure so I think they are the right way round ??
The only way I can get it to join up is to route it like this -
Can anyone with an original Z1-R rear hose fitted tell me if this looks correct or send me a pic of the entire hose run so I can see where I am out.
Would appreciate the measurement of rubber hose showing between the two unions if anyone has an original they can check. This one is the PMC part listed for Z1-R 1978 but I think it looks a little long on the bike.
I know I need the two rubber grommets for the swinging arm hooks - I had hoped they would come with the hose but no such luck
Thanks for looking

Thanks Paul
My bike is Z1-R D1 1978 so the brake hose is 43059-1006
The 1046 in the eBay ad is for the later D3 1980 model
Not sure why they changed - perhaps D3 has different rear master cylinder ??
Any how I need measurement off a D1 or 1006 hose to be sure.
Or someone to tell me that the two hoses are the same length ??
This pic is from the Z1-R sales brochure -
Cheers from Mark

Thanks Neil,
So it looks like the one in the eBay advert could be for a D1 - as it has a full length spring.
I will drop mine off tomorrow and get it measured properly.

Thanks David,
Could you just check length of rubber hose visible between unions and see how close you are to Compo's 420 mm please ??

I got my new hose off and measured visible hose between unions.
I got 480 mm
I think that means mine's bigger than Compo's
It's interesting that neither of the D1s in the pics sent in have the hose looping below the bottom of the torque arm linkage like the Z1-R brochure picture.
Thanks for all the help people

don't no whether this is relevant but the pmc site shows a picture of the d3 & they would be about 50mm longer as the hose fitting is fitted to the top of the master cylinder ?

Cheers Neil
I will check my Tony book too, I'm pretty sure PMC listed different nos. for the D1 and D3 rear hose but I need to check now - and make sure I got sent the right one.
Mine would be long enough to go to the top of the master cylinder - which makes it sound like a D3 hose.
How long is your D3 hose between unions ?? if it is 48cm like mine then that would be interesting.
Cheers
