Z1000 Running Backwards?

Hi All
Ive Just spent most of the night in the garage (as always) trying to rejet my Z1000 A1 to run with K+N filters, while i had the carbs off i decided to reroute some leads inc the ones to the coils, when i put it all back together as it should be it would not run at all. This went on all night carbs on carbs off still no good just back fire.
In the end i found the problem to be the wires to my coils, it only runs with green to black and black to green.
The bike has just been into a local Kawasaki dealer to have the head shimmed-rebuilt, IS IT POSIBLE THEY HAVE JUST CONNECTED THE WIRES THE WRONG WAY ROUND AT THE POINTS or something more sinister like REBUILT IT 180 DEGRESS OUT ???????
