Z900a4 wheel rebuild

Can any body help me with a wheel rebuild. Does any one know if the rear wheel hub has a off set or is it central to rim (rear wheel) if it does have an off set what is it please. All so what torque setting should the spokes be set to. Cheers mark[/img]

Mark there is no offset on either front or rear rim on the A4.
Always check your rear rim to see if its not a Z1000 (rear disk) wheel they have a different pattern because of the shorter spoke on one side. They also have a small directional arrow on the rim.
Sorry don't know the tension. it is an art, that I leave for the guys that are doing it everyday. I usually lace the spokes and lightly tension to equal lengths, then take it to the pro for the tensioning and truing the wheel. Making sure I tell him to trim the spokes ends before the applying rim tape (and Tyre).

As Garn 1 said, standard torque setting for a spoke is 0.20 - 0.40 kg-m or 17 - 35 in-lbs but they are tensioned independently to achieve trueness, therefore they won't be the same. Personally I would also only trust this to a professional.

I have just taken the rear wheel of my Z900A4 apart to clean up the hub and have new spokes fitted.
Prior to taking apart I took photos and using a straight edge across the R/H and L/H hub faces measured the distance to the edge of the rim on both sides.
I did the same with the front and indeed the hub is central to the rim with something like a couple of mm from the edge of the rim to face of the hub on both sides.
However, on the rear on the L/H, Drive, side from the front face of where the sprocket sits I measured approx 18.5 mm to the edge of the rim and from the front face of the bearing boss to the rim it was approx 22.5 mm.
On the R/H, Brake, side from the front face of the drum to the edge of the rim it measured approx 4.5 mm.
So when you say there is no offset can you please advise what you mean?

centre of the wheel should be measured from where the spokes enter the hub on both sides
