Seat support

When I lift my seat it falls back onto the side panel with no stay that I can see. I know on the eatlier z's there was a bar that stop the seat but my A4 doesn't have this.
Am i missing something?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.
Bike now finished what a joy!

bit of cord will do the job in the mean time, better than trashing a side panel :idea:
