I have stripped down this panel to clean and paint it. The white wire, which goes into the rectifier, according to the wiring diagram, goes to the battery.
But it doesn't go anywhere ?
Any ideas? Have I broken something? Is it not used anymore? I am not good at electrikery stuff,

it should have a male bullet connector on the end of it & it plugs in to the white wire that goes to the fuse box

You want to fling all that shite in the bin and get a "combined" unit!!!

Studying the top pic, which was taken prior to stripping the bike, I cannot see the white wire going anywhere. I am now wondering if the regulator, which I was told was a 'Superdream' unit does already replace the shite in question

yes it has a combined regulator / rectifier so i would disconnect the old rectifier & chuck in the bin as jim said

Cheers z1bman, that's good news then.
I didn't think I had broken it
