Hi all, I want to treat the underside of my rear mudguard. It is in very good nick only slight surface rust I am not sure what to use. I am not a lover of Hammerite, so don't really want to use that, maybe some sort of underseal or paint. I am open to suggestions [ preferably not from Jimmock  ] all advice will be gratefully received. Thanks. Sean.

I used Dinitrol, but it was a number of years ago & not sure if it's still around. Ardrox, if you can get it is good stuff or Finigan's Waxoil.

I done mine with red oxide and then under seal.

No problems and it was done YEARS ago.

rust converter, then red oxide paint and top it with silver paint if you dont like the red showing, red oxide is great for holding off rust. whenever i look at metal, its always the red oxide that is least rusted. great stuff.
