Looking for maintenance free plus higher cranking amps to fit into standard z1000a2 battery compartment....

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter

Have one fitted over three years and goes fine, these are AGM so cope well with old type mechanical regulators and are truly maintenance free - no need to recharge every month or so.

Had one on the 1170 J for two years now and no complaints.
Its half the normal sized YBLA18 but starts the bike perfectly well and has given no issues what so ever.

Not the same Paul mine is a MTBX9U
It is half the amp / hour, half the size and less than half the weight of the standard battery.
The reason i bought this one is because it has more CCA than the standard 18AH jobbie.
It came from M&P and it was upside down in the box when it arrived.
Pretty much said it all i thought at the time.
Think it was £44 and this was after a long conversation with a guy who sells Li-ION batteries as his main business.
He told me that as far as bike batteries are concerned; buy a lithium battery in about a couple of three years when the issues with them have been resolved!!

Got them in both my Z1000J/R bikes, very good batteries especially as you can lay them down, which I have done in my endurance bike
