When I turn the ignition on the front indicators come on, they still flash when you indicate but I`m wondering wether it will go through an MOT like this ?. :)

Assuming they switch on and off then it shouldn't be an issue. US spec bikes often have lights switched on all the time, obviously not the indicators though.

the front indicators have a dual filament bulb fitted you can either change it for a standard single filament indicator bulb or remove the feed to indicator. standard European bikes would have two wires going to the lamp the american ones have three. identify the wire that feeds the lamp as a day light & disconnect it looking at the wiring diagram if you disconnect the blue wire to the indicator they should work normally

Yes, I agree.

Running lights that double up as indicators.

Have a similar issue with a bike I've just imported from the US & as previous people have said you will be able to disconnect the running light wires in the headlight bucket, it won't pass its MOT like it is.

There is no issue with the UK MOT and US yellow marker lights in the front. it will pass as my Z1000 police has .the one that will let you down is no side light in the US headlight.

Had these on 650LTD, not a problem here as no MOT. Disconnected the sky blue wire in headlamp shell to each indicator and all was normal again...

As soon as you turn the ignition on the headlight comes on, so a side is not needed is it ?, surely you would not be able to see it.

what about Harleys and their yellow marker lights ?. :)

if the side light is fitted to the headlight & it has a switch to operate that light it must work for mot purposes. if there is no side light fitted & no switch it will pass the mot. as already stated the us headlight is on permanently so there is no point having a side light
