Rear brake pedal spring--mystery

#1 PostAuthor: steve rees » Wed Jan 02, 2008 8:51 pm

Guys,

I need some help here!!!

I have just about finished my Z1000 Ltd which is being rebuilt back as a Z1000 but i have a problem with the rear brake pedal spring.

the standard listed spring which wraps around the pedal just does not work at all--this is because the brake pedal mounting bracket and spindle is mounted on the footrest hanger A frame bottom tube where as the standard Z1000 bracket is mounted on the main frame diagonal tube--hence the point where the spring starts to produce tension is in a different place and does not work.

Anyone got a solution?????????

or any one got a part number for a Z1000 Ltd spring

all help much appreciated

Regards

Problem solved

Thanks for your help lads--problem now solved

It turns out that the KZ1000B2 has a Z900 frame and brake pedal mounting brackets but a pedal only used on the B1/B2 Ltd's different to the A1/A2 series.

flew across to J Browse in Wrexham and got a used one this morning now all will work.

Thanks again

Steve
