Anyone running either Avon Road Riders or Bridgestone BT45's on standard size wheels on Z1? If so what tyre pressures are you running with rider only and where did you get pressure info from?
I'm having handling isues on my current tyres (Continental Blitz) running on pressures in owners manual (28 front 32 rear), I think these may be too low for modern tyres but can't get any info. Looking to change tyres for either of above so pressure info and handling comments would be appreciated.
cheers
John

I'd try anywhere from +30psi - upwards for both.
I prefer TT100's - Old Skool tyres for an Old Skool bike - not just coz they look proper

there was a thread about this a while ago- definitely use higher pressures.
36/38 according to bridgestone themselves.

I heard you even got both feet down once, too
So how long do these BT45's last (mileage) at the higher psi figures

With such narrow sections do they wear quick

What are the handling issues?
FWIW - I have run 32/36 on BT45s for 4000miles without issues but the back is now noticeably squaring off. This is not much different to the rear on my ZRX on BT023s which started to square off at 3500 miles.

Thanks for all the advice. Ill deffo try higher pressures wen im back in the saddle after latest round of surgery. Handling issues are weaving above 80 mph and wheels tracking road imperfections making bike feel very unstable. Also wiggles its arse over cats eyes yet our kids bike was rock steady ( Z1b on konis and metzelers). Mine is on repro shox ( i know they wont be helping either but want to retain original looks). Not looking for modern handling just an improvement and tyres seemed logical start point after all cycle parts have been renewed. Tyres only done about 3k miles but little wear age could be an issue hence wanting recs on tyres and pressures. Thanks again guys.
