I will post a photo tomorrow.

The Hammerite gold is a good colour and if the wheels and rear shocks are all painted in that colour then no-one will notice ( apart from the purists ).

My wheels were green ( apart from the facing edges and edge of the rim which were polished but dull ) and I wanted them gold and re-polished. I decided to get them done professionally.

They basically had the green paint bead blasted off,
The bits that should be polished were re-polished,
it was masked off
sprayed in the Mercedes gold,
then clear coat lacquer.

I think I found the colour on the Kz 1000R forum, that is just for Elr's.

so you didnt use the hammerite? i would always recommend not using hammerite, it just peels off, you cant paint over it very easily because it cellulose based, basically it doesn't do what it says on the tin.

i have always found hammerite to chip very easyly, as for some reason it seems to age harden.

Never had a problem using Hammerite , use an etch primer first, if it chips rub down with wet or dry wipe down with thinners then mask and flash over with Gold
