Leaking Fuel Tap

#1 PostAuthor: nigel bessant » Thu Nov 06, 2014 6:51 pm

My fuel tap is leaking from the sediment bowl. I have bought nitrile sheet and a set of wad punches and have made gaskets but each one has leaked. The tap looks like a repro and the mating faces of the bowl and the tap are very narrow. Other than thread sealant, any suggestions?

Thanks
Nigel

copper might do the trick as long as its not too thick? what about a piece of lead sheet.
