If its not a stupid question what do you need to know?
Take all four lids off, loosen the wee cross headed screws,# 1, #2 and #4 and turn the adjuster nuts clock or anti-clock until the gauges read the same.
Number 3 is the fixed one so only three carbs to adjust.
Re-tighten the cross headed screws when youre finished.
All done with the engine running and up to temp.
Manual recommends to exercise the throttle several times during the process to settle the slides if any changes are made to the adjustments.
Vacuum gauges plug in to the vertical stubs nearest the inlet side.
I havn't done it for a couple of years but remember checking the vacuum after re-fitting the caps as i didnt believe with that amount of play in the slides they would all still be the same.

Am looking for main jet sizes and needle positions for an 1170 if anyone had got those numbers for RS 36mm please.

Adjust the cross headed screw on the accelerator pump rod mechanism to begin to operate at 1/4 throttle opening and the limit screw in the top of the cap to stop it when it gets to 3/4 throttle.
