'wheel fitment help for dummies' needed pls guys

#1 PostAuthor: 69chris » Sun Sep 21, 2014 7:09 pm

hey guys, just after a bit of advise about what fits what, wheels that is :D

got a z1000 ltd, its an import one and has the tail piece as opposed to a big chrome muddy.....if that makes any difference,

its got a 16'' rear wheel which id like to swap for an 18, but oddly it has an 18'' fitted on the front, it looks like a normal 7 spoke z wheel with the small 4 bolt disc pattern (not the later 'wider' bolt pattern) ....... z1r perhaps ?

anyhow, i just want a usual 19/18 combo, will z650/750/900/1000 (proper ones  ) allfit ok or is the messing with bearings etc to be sorting out ?
cheers all :)

Should be easy to fit one of those 18" wheels...the only issue might be spacers.

I actually had a z1000j rear in my ltd and it went straight in with just some manipulation of the spacers.

Don't forget to get the hub to match the wheels though.

I have a pair of J wheels. 19 front and 18 rear in excellent condition just removed from my bike.
They have discs, bolts, hub, spindles and spacers with good condition tyres also.
You will need a different mudguard too if you go 19 inch front!!

thanks guys :)

will be on the look out for wheels now i know what should fit (zorded - pm me a price  ) but it might take a few weeks as iv just got back into shooting and its cleared me out

the mudguard will be fine as its the original one - looks like some wacky mx bike with the huge gap b'tween it and the tyre - classy

is the z1r wheel worth owt ?? :)
