Hi Guys, as some of you might have read my post last week, "weak spark" I thought I'd give you all an update. Z1000puddin gave me a set of coils and they work. Big thank you Stu. Now I've been hit with another problem. The revs keep creeping up. I thought it was drawing air somewhere but I cannot find from where. Here's what I've checked so far, airbox to carb rubbers are new and sealed, carb to head rubbers seem OK cos when I sprayed WD40 on them when bike was running it didn't make any odds, all pipes from that reed valve thing on the CSR, LTD and a few others are OK, Diaphrams are OK, Only thing it does not have is a "push throttle cable" but the throttle snaps back pretty quick. When I tried it at first it crept up to 3000 rpm. I left it an hour and tried it again, this time it was up at 2000 rpm but not going any higher without throttle. Any ideas chaps ?? thanks Stevie. PS. I've even taken the throttle cable out of the throttle tube on the handlebars to make sure it was returning fully.

Do I have to ? OH OK if you insist. The clamp bolts that hold the carbs on the manifold are too long and was catching on the throttle mechanism on one of the carbs

But it's all good now, so only MOT to get now and my winter hack will be ready

yea simple mistake but it really had me stumped for a while. Been working on bikes for years so as usual I was looking for the worst case scenario, looking to deep.
