Firstly, hello to all as this is my first posting on this site.

I require info regarding setting up of 33mm Kiehin CR carbs for a GPZ1100 with a Wiseco 10.25:1 Comp Ratio 1170cc kit. The engine will have 0.425 Norris cams so as you can see I am looking for all out power. As the bike will be dyno?d once built an approx base line will be fine.
Thanks in advance

Hmm, here's the closest I can provide...

My old Martin Kwak Zed - I ran a set of Keihin CR35's on a motor with 1135cc, 11.25:1 CR, .425 lift Kents cams in a Manzano head. I had the needles 2nd clip from the bottom with 160 main jets.
Standard timing should be fine with your CR though I would make sure the cams are fitted with vernier sprockets and timed in, our Mr Debben will probably advise you on the lobe centre figures for those cams. (good fun grinding the head out for the big lobes isn't it) :P
The CR carbs in my eyes really are the ultimate for the old 2-valvers.... a nice choice indeed.!

And welcome. :D

For those of you who still own these carburetors a little jetting trick. In order to get better throttle response install 0.6 air correction jets. This allows you to run a smaller main jet while still giving you approximately the same air fuel ratio as before. Good starting point is 4 main jet sizes smaller than you previously had. Also installing a O-6 needle jet will help lean out the mid range. http://www.aperaceparts.com/COPE.HTML
