just bought an almost new Z1000 2004 model with 4 exhausts i want to make it a bit louder and help it breathe better in 96 i had a new GSXR and i took a long metal pole to the exhaust and knocked out the first baffle etc the Z1000 has th4e same baffles about a foot into the exhausts has any one done the same do you think the fuel injection will compensate ?? any help appreciated

Anything with four pipes can only be helped by fitting a KERKER . You know it makes sense .

I would have thought that much in the way of changes to the exhausts would need the injection remapped. Why not ring some of the aftermarket end can suppliers for the Z1000s that you see advertising in Streetfighters and see what you have to do with their replacement cans?

I have a new z1000 and have removed the four pipes and fitted two QUILL end cans and what a difference both to power and what a teriffic noise.

If your going to have a new Kwak then the only one to have is a ZRX, it's as close to resembling the old Z's as you'll get from a new bike, even if it is liquid cooled.
