Looks like the front forks on my Z1000 need a rebuild with some nice new stanchions and seals. Anyone know a good specialist in the London area?

Ride magazine rave about ABE in Greenwich, which is pretty close to me - anyone used them please?

1340fxd, I think I used 'em a couple of years ago :?:
They did some USD Gixer forks form me, new seals & nylon bushes.
A bit expensive if I remember & did an AVERAGE job. The forks had dodgy compression screws which they didn't even comment on, they just seemed keen to get me cash for the repairs without that 'special-personal' service :??
I could have the wrong company, but 90% sure it was them

Any decent bike shop/mechanic should be able to do your forks.
Nice, easy job if you've got an air gun.
First thing to do is get your forks apart and see exactly what new parts are needed.
My local bike shop Twiggers in Loughborough offer a full postal service if you don't get sorted locally.

If you can get across to Reading, there is Malc's or MTC, both are good with older bikes, and both are good with advice (needed or not) and the personal touch.

The guys in MTC used to race Z1's, and still own a couple of early models, and I trust them with my bike.
