Valve Guides

Do you have to have the special tool to knock the old valve guides out. What do you guys use?

Speak to Buzzard...He did mine. Heat the head up in the oven then drift them out so i am told.

yes i understand that's the way im just questioning if you have to use the special Kawasaki drifting tool?

You need a stepped drift.
Doesn't have to be a genuine kwak tool as long as it fits.
This is more important for the re-fitting than the removing.
A piece of round bar modified in the lathe will do it.
