i have found a 1973 "M Reg" Z1 with silver engine, that i am about to purchase. how availible are parts for this bike now. it is mostly complete except for the paint job and chrome swing arm. it needs mirros and standard pipes though and a respray.
can anyone advise as to where i can get these/ done.
thanks

Hi all,
now agreed to purchase and will collect in the next couple of days, paying for it today.
it is a bit rough but salvagable i think. Previous owner has painted it with a rattle can ( including rear guard!!) and filled the tank badge brackets with filler and put Kawasaki Stickers on the tank.
Swing arm has been chromed ( Yuk) and it has a harris 4 into1 on it.
i will post some pics when i have got it home and keep you all posted.

hopefully the tank doesnt have a nasty dent near one of the tank catchment area's, all will be revealed.please do take piccies before you do anything to the old beast. always fun to see what they arrive like ( well fun when you dont have to do any of the repair yourself)

good luck with it 531
