Smokey rebore

Would you expect a newly rebored engine to smoke for a while my worry is its a shite rebore job not on my z on an other unmentionable 550 four stroke bike
the oil scraper rings were a one piece item looked dodgy.

Are you sure it's the rebore & not the valve oil seals ?

Run it in with cheap mineral oil - after a couple hundred miles swap for decent mineral or semi & see how it is.
Don't run it in too conservatively - the bores may glaze over

Thanks valve seals done at same time cheap oil it is wouldn't waste good stuff on it to be honest as it's not a z

can take a while to bed in - if you've done over 100 miles and its still smoking i'd then be concerned.
