Wiring harness

Been looking at making up a Z1 wiring harness and I have managed to source all the materials to make one up except for the four coloured conectors in the centre part .
The replica harnesses available use them so they must be available from somewhere right?
I have read elsewhere on the forum that they have had trouble finding these so any pointers would be appreciated.
If successful I would be willing to make them up for club members to save a few quid!
Cheers Guyz.

if you mean these i think they where made specifically to fit the bracket that holds them together

Yes thats them mate, but surely the bracket was made to fit the "off the shelf" connector?
All the other connectors are available as classic connectors.
Do you recon EMGO or whoever does the replicas have them specially made?

Cheers Scot thats a start :D I have only been able to find connectors with flat pins not round pins like these coloured connectors.
All the other multi connectors in the Z harnesses have 2.8mm flat blades and are readily available. Can you remember where you found the white centre type connectors.
Cheers Dave.

Emgo is the manufacturer of the connectors but I cannot find a supplier for love or money.....it appears to be a closed loop unless you know somebody who is in the know. I would have been making harnesses by now if I could find those coloured connectors. Good luck in your search.

Yes mate EMGO wont sell to Joe Public just authourised dealers.
The only compromise is to use the original coloured connectors from the original harness and clean them up using new connection pins of course (which is the important part)
Problem is they do tend to get a little heat damaged due to bad / high resistance connections particularly on the alternator connector.
So frustrating not being able to make up complete new harnesses for the sake of four connectors.
Cheers Dave

Frustrating is not the word.....it's an absolute piece of piss to make harnesess.....if you can get that specific type of connector....it has to be the exact one......there is a genuine market for these connectors but they will not sell to anyone....how do you become a distributer for Emgo is the question

You will only end up with the same issues if you use the old connectors...has to be new

Unfortunately they just sell the full parts and not the components that make up the part.....shame really but it is what it is.

EMGO is a volume manufacturer, they are not interested in supplying connectors.
